Margaret studied Design at the London College of Fashion
She started painting in 1974 while living in Surrey,attending Adult Education Courses. She exhibited her work in Surrey and Croydon with the Tandridge and Old Coulsdon Art Societies
A move to Dorset in 1986, settling in the village of Abbotsbury influenced her work. She responded by stronger and freer painting to the sea and land formations around her home. This strength has been developed by Charcoal Studies on site and in her Still Life.
She aims to invite response and discussion from the viewer by the language of her painting.
